The OVO S1 is perhaps one of the coolest looking vibrators that I’ve seen. Ours is black and gold and looks like some sort of chic gadget Batman would have in his bedroom. The S1 is wireless and is charged by a USB cord and it is waterproof. It’s fairly quiet but not whisper quiet like many of the more rumbly vibes that OVO produces.
The top side of this chic toy is all silicone with lights on the control buttons (helpful in the dark) and the underside houses an egg.
It’s has multiple functions and its design is stunning. The narrow end (tickler), while it holds its shape, it is flexible. After the initial investigation of the S1’s features, I realized that I had no idea how to use this thing.
Fortunately, my husband (the expert) knew that it was a “lay-on”…however we both had very different opinions of how it was actually supposed to be used.
Mr.’s 2 cents: After unboxing the S1 we got extremely excited because of its modern space age lux design and the fact that it came with a little charge on it that allowed us to see how strong it was by putting the tip of it on our noses. Noticing the multiple patterns and design we were excited to use what seemingly would be a super powerful lay on clitoral toy with lots of functions. With glee I put it on the charger so that we could use it later that night.
Did our expectations brought on from our initial unboxing reaction ruin the initial results?
Well I’m not sure but on our first attempt we tried using it purely as a lay on housing the golden egg on the labia with the underside of the tickler on the clitoris. It was comforting at best and never seemed to accomplish more than a slight humming vibration.
So then we tried the egg on the clitoris and it too was a light comforting vibration pattern.
We couldn’t figure out where the strong vibes that we felt when unboxing were housed while using it as a lay-on.
After about 30 minutes or so it suddenly stopped vibrating which was weird because it didn’t seem to decline in speed or function. We thought it died. Most of our rechargeable toys warn us of its untimely death by slowly losing its fizzle. So we carried on with the night and didn’t decide to revisit the s1 for another few weeks.
This time hubby decided that we would give the S1 more focus and we would see if we could get different results.
Mr.’s 2 cents: I was totally in love with the look and functions that I just had to find a way to make it work. I had to discover a way to make it pleasurable for her and would not stop until I tried every possible way of doing so. Anything that we tried on this night I knew we wouldn’t be able to really complain about because its intended use is for someone who enjoys a lighter “buzzy” vibration on the clitoris. We like more of a powerful rumble vibration.
My husband’s first attempt this night had a shockingly painful feeling. WARNING: DO NOT TRY TO USE THE FLEXIBLE TIP PIN POINT TICKLER FOR DIRECT CONTACT ON A FULLY EXPOSED CLITORIS. The best description of this hard lesson learned was that this technique paired with the light like speed housed in the tip of the tickler felt like I was receiving shock therapy with an X-acto knife…OUCH!
Mr.’s 2 cents: I discovered that speed and power flooded to the tip of the tickler and unfortunately it wasn’t pleasing at all for her. She said it was painful. I noticed when looking at it closely that there are two thin ridges that run along the outside of the tickler so that may be why she felt pain. I do think if it had a lower setting the tip may indeed provide more pleasure than pain. I was able to bring her to orgasm but she said that it was way too quick for her to enjoy. She said she felt like she was being tazed and with no build up she didn’t really like that. The overstimulating pleasure came from taking the S1 button side up and trying to make pin point contact where the egg would be located which folded down the tickler. It provided enough power and rumble to bring her to orgasm but I sure wish she could have enjoyed it more. Now because of its design, size and vibrations its great to use for other erogenous areas for both men and women. If you like variations of speeds especially the spontaneity of them when used as a couples toy you will enjoy the ever comforting OVO S1. This will be added to the collection for the height of sensual touch session.
After this trial and error, WE (wink-wink) had a better idea of how to try this again. It was an improvement, but I still managed to say “Don’t taze me bro” and that just shouldn’t happen during any intimate session. When you lay the S1 in more of a resting position it’s bark is considerably less than it’s bite and I was not a fan as a prescribed lay on because of the buzzy faint vibrations. I wavered between too strong of a vibration at the tip of the tickler to a steady but light sensation throughout the base. The OVO S1 is ideally for someone who enjoys lighter buzzy clitoral stimulation. It has 5 awesome vibe variation patters and two speeds. Make sure you fully charge it and now that the higher settings will last about 30 minutes.
